Oral Hygiene not only keeps your mouth healthy, but affects all aspects of your overall health. To maintain good oral health, brush your teeth at least twice daily, floss, and eat fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Also, you should visit the dentist once every six months for a routine examination and cleaning. The dentist will remove plaque buildup, polish your teeth and check for cavities. He or she will also check your gums, and mouth for signs of health issues or cancer.
The dentists and assistants at ACHC provide preventive care and treat cavities, (tooth decay) and gum disease. Dental care providers are here to help patients maintain a healthy mouth and therefore a healthy body.
Special attention is given to the oral health of patients who have diabetes or are pregnant.
